The Scriptures are clear, Jesus Christ knew no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21) and never lied. (Isaiah 53:9)
But what do all modern versions have in common? They preach a false Jesus who lied to his brethren.
John 7:8 NIV
You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.
John 7:10 NIV
However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
Go up to the feast yourselves; I do not go up to this feast because My time has not yet fully come. (NASB)
But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as if, in secret.(NASB)
You go up to the feast yourselves. I am not going up to this feast because my time has not yet fully arrived. (NET)
But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then Jesus himself also went up, not openly but in secret. (NET)
Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled. (ASV)
But when his brethren were gone up unto the feast, then went he also up, not publicly, but as it were in secret. (ASV)
What is the problem here? The NIV, NASB, NET, and ASV, as well as many other Bible versions have Jesus saying something that is not true. He did go up to the feast. Therefore he (the Jesus of modern versions that is) told something not true.
But what about the Sinless and True Jesus Christ of the King James Bible?
Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come. (John 7:8 KJV)
Jesus said He would not go to the feast yet. Thus, making it a true statement because He didn’t, He abode in Galilee afterwords.
